US IN THE SON DAY CAMP

If you are entering 8th grade-12th grade and love to work with children, then you are encouraged to be a Volunteer for Us In The Son Day Camp. Volunteers are an integral part of our camp program; we rely on them heavily to assist counselors and children.
If you have never volunteered at Us In The Son, or if you have never attended one of our previous Leadership Camps, then you must attend our weekend Leadership Camp (See information below) to volunteer this summer. Please see our Leadership Camp information sheet for details.
The Volunteer's day begins promptly at 7:45 am and concludes at 4:15 pm.
Volunteers must attend all five days for the entire scheduled week and for the entire scheduled times mentioned above. If there is a conflict, please volunteer for a different session in which the entire week can be committed.
All volunteers and staff attend 8:00 am mass each morning. Pants, or appropriate length (to the knees) shorts and skirts, are acceptable for mass.
The staff provides a program for all volunteers before camp. This is not optional! This program is specially designed to develop your leadership skills as a volunteer. On Thursday we have an optional Volunteer party to spend time with the counselors and prepare gifts for the campers.
Volunteers need to bring sack lunches each day with their names on them. Punch will be provided by camp, but you are welcome to bring your own drink.
Volunteers will be given one camp T-shirt at Leadership Camp, which must be worn throughout the week. Additional shirts can be purchased for $7.00 each.

Weekend Leadership Camp
(Leadership camp and Leadership day are only mandatory if the volunteer has NOT attended Leadership Camp or Leadership Day previously.)
PURPOSE:
To provide junior high and high school students with a weekend of fun and love as they celebrate their LIVING FAITH and develop their leadership skills. All those who attend leadership camp will also have the opportunity to Volunteer at our Day Camp.

June 25- June 27, 2010

Sunday June 27: 4:00 p.m. @ the parish hall

Ponderosa Pines Christian Camp

CAMP COST:
$160 per person
